About Founder

I started my career in 1980 with an established Glasgow Electrical Contractor, I actually wanted to go to Art School, but my father said “don’t be rediculous” ;-). After 2 years as an electrician I joined Wallace Whittle and Partners - a well known firm of Consultant Electrical M&E Engineers - I was based in Glasgow and then 6 years in London. I went on to do an HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering - I think it’s fair to say the only area I enjoyed was doing the lighting design. I then worked for 15 years in Lighting sales through my Fathers business which was called A&D Cartwright. This was sold to Edmundson Electrical in 2005. Since then, I've passionately led and managed Cartwright Lighting Associates, focusing on Quality of product, delivery and intstallation on time, tailoring requirements to meet customer needs.

Angus Hobbies

My hobbies are Sailing, Munro bagging, Skiing and Alpine Climbing, I think my great achievement was summiting the Matterhorn with my eldest son, my other great achievement was summiting the Dufourspitz with my youngest son ;-).
